Flint, MI- FOX66 and NBC25 will proudly serve as a media partner as KaBOOM! and Make An Impact Foundation join forces to serve the children and families of Flint! The City of Flint, along with KaBOOM! and Make An Impact Foundation, are aiming to build a state of the art playground at Berston Field House this fall. This beloved recreation center has served as the training location to many successful Flint athletes including Olympic Boxer, Clarissa Shields.
Beginning Monday, September 12th the “Make An Impact” week will begin with daily activities aimed to create positive change within the community with the ultimate goal to lead up to the building of a brand new playground made possible by local and national donors. A celebration will finish out the week at the FOX66 Fall Festival on Saturday, September 17th at the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center in Flint.
The mission of Make An Impact Foundation is to promote the education and well-being of children. They identify children in severe need as well as those with learning needs, emotional needs, disabilities or disease, and create opportunities to produce change in their lives.
KaBOOM! is the national nonprofit dedicated to bringing balanced and active play into the daily lives of kids in America, particularly those growing up in poverty.
