Coddle Creek Elementary Playground

Help us bring a beautiful new  playground to the students

of Coddle Creek Elementary and their community!

The school just transitioned to become an International Baccalaureate (IB) School. The current playground was transferred from another school and is more than 20 years old - the new playground will be open to the public and will add a beautiful safe playspace to the neighborhood, accomodating the growing number of students and families in the CCE neighborhood.

Your donation will make an impact for current students and future students as well as the local community!

Why does Coddle Creek Elementary (CCE) need a new playground?

Coddle Creek Elementary was built in 2009 and the playground was transferred from the former Mount Mourne Elementary School. When Coddle Creek first opened, approximately 440 students attended and now, starting the 2018/19 school year, CCE has grown to over 670 students. The school has capacity for a total of 950 students.

With the recent rapid growth and expected growth over the coming years, the current playground is simply not large enough for students to enjoy at recess. This fundraiser will add additional equipment to the playground, which will allow for more students to actively play and spread students out on the various pieces of equipment.

The CCE playground is also open to the public and serves as a community playground. The baseball fields located behind CCE are operated by Mooresville Parks and Recreation.

Where is Coddle Creek Elementary located?

Coddle Creek Elementary is located at 141 Frank’s Crossing Loop, Mooresville, NC 28115. Given that CCE is an IBO World School, students come as far as Statesville and Huntersville to attend CCE. An IBO World School offers an approach to teaching and learning that engages students actively while encouraging them to think deeply and take action in their own lives. Through this Program, students become internationally-minded thinkers; inquirers who ask questions and seek answers with a global perspective.

How can I help?

The Make An Impact Foundation (MAIF) is partnering with parents of CCE students to raise the money needed to build this playground. There are three ways you can help:

  1. Donate directly to this great cause on this website or via check
  2. Connect the MAIF with local organizations (rotaries, churches, community organizations, etc.), local businesses and corporation, _ , etc. that would like to sponsor/donate or offers opportunities for grants.
  3. Help Plan and/or attend upcoming fundraisers

Can I make a donation in honor of or in memory of someone?

Yes, CCE is working on the design to incorporate these sponsorships and donations into the overall playground façade.
