We’d like to thank Make An Impact Foundation for their generous support. They’ve helped fund five of our projects. They have helped us so much, they have a real heart and soul for children with disabilities.

MAIF’s support allowed me to keep my promise to those nurses to have pizza night, to be able to give a child a laptop or an iPad whenever they wanted it. They were the beginning of our organization. Why are they important to us? They care. They do what they say they are going to do. We go and live our goals and dreams through our heart and so does Make An Impact.
Our Process
Breaking down how we select projects
How Are Projects Identified?
Projects are typically identified by donors who have a passion to see a need met that impacts the lives of children in their community. The donor submits the project to Make An Impact Foundation for approval. In order to properly submit a project the following will be needed: actual funding amount, project start date, project end date, at least one project photo, a project narrative, project contact information, donor name and a first donation amount. Please also include vendor names and contact information for the project. Correctly submitted projects will be reviewed monthly by the MAIF Board of Directors. Each project evaluated and approved will then be moved into the funding process.
Are you interested in submitting a project and being the project ambassador/champion for that project? Here’s what you need to know:
Is the need you want to solve directly impacting kids in need?
Do you have a project champion?
Do you have a donor champion who is not the project champion?
Does your project have a start and end date?
If you answer all of these questions with ‘yes’ we can’t wait to hear from you!
Submit this proposal to Tina@makeanimpactnow.org and she will get in touch with you on the next steps.
We are so tremendously grateful to the Make An Impact Foundation for the impact they’ve made in partnering with us to help support specifically our “Bless a Birthday” project for students all across Charlotte Mecklenburg schools. Many of these kids are transient homeless kids and for all those children in Elementary school who are coming into school that day it’s their birthday they want to celebrate. Unfortunately they don’t have the resources to do that and we help with the support that we have received through the Make An Impact Foundation provide those children with their supplies and their treats so that they can experience that joy in class among their peers – of course anonymously – and give them that chance to be a giver in a peer environment and be recognized in that same way.
FAQ
No. We love and support all the benefits play brings for children of any age, this is why our playground projects play a great role in our foundation’s mission to make an impact in communities nationwide. Our ultimate goal is to not ‘just build a playground’ but use the playgrounds to open doors to the community helping us learn about other needs and building a strong bond between our local partners to grow the impact through continuing projects.
Our project ambassador is our ‘go-getter’, donating his/her time to work closely with the MAIF team and driving the project forward. The project ambassador’s passion is to provide resources like their personal network to make sure we raise great awareness for the project, helping us plan and execute our fundraising strategy.
Our donor champion is an individual, group, organization or business who provides a significant monetary contribution to a project. This could potentially be the first money in or lead sponsor.
No. At the Make An Impact Foundation we are all about TEAMwork and co-fundraising. We collaborate with our project partners and donor champions to reach our fundraising goal. We are very grateful that we are able to give 85 – 90 cents of every dollar donated, to a project. Our long-term goal is to achieve 90 cents per dollar for all projects.
