About Make an Impact Foundation

Building community through vision!

Our vision at Make An Impact Foundation is to meet the needs of children by identifying worthwhile projects and finding donor partners to help meet each need.

The Make an Impact Foundation (MAIF) serves as a vital connector between businesses and communities, creating opportunities for individuals and organizations to give back to children and families in need. Through our four core pillars My Corporate Impact, MAIF Kids Play, MAIF Kids Learn, and MAIF Kids Work we deliver direct and meaningful impact to those in need through strategic partnerships and community engagement.

Vision

To meet the needs of children by identifying worthwhile projects and finding donor partners to help meet each need.

Mission

The mission of Make An Impact Foundation is to promote the education and well-being of children by identifying those in severe need (homeless, poverty, etc.) as well as those with learning needs, emotional needs, disabilities or disease and creating an opportunity to produce change in their lives.

WHO:

Make An Impact Foundation promotes education and well-being of children by identifying those in need and creating an opportunity to produce change in their lives.

WHY:

Make An Impact Foundation strives to create a place where all children have equal opportunity and ability to grow up freely, unencumbered by barriers to grow, dream and imagine.

My Corporate Impact

Works with businesses on their social impact model, driving projects related to their team’s passions through employee time and financial contributions.

MAIF Kids Play

MAIF KidsPlay is dedicated to fostering the physical, emotional, and social well-being of children through a variety of initiatives of play. Our program includes the development of national playgrounds with collaboration media and community partners, developing lanes for sports and outdoor play as well as providing scholarships for camps. By promoting active play and community engagement, we aim to create a supportive environment where children can thrive and grow.

MAIF Kids Learn

MAIF KidsLearn is dedicated to inspiring and empowering the next generation through innovative programs. Our initiatives, including the Drones2Jets and STEM/STEAM programs, provide students with hands-on learning opportunities that ignite curiosity and foster a passion for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. By equipping students with the skills and knowledge they need, we aim to prepare them for a future of limitless possibilities.

MAIF Kids Work

The MAIF Kids Work (MKW) pillar aims to empower students with the skills, experiences, and confidence needed to thrive in their careers and contribute positively to their communities through paid summer internships, comprehensive support services, and impactful community engagement. Our commitment is to create a sustainable, inclusive, and transformative program that bridges the gap between education and employment, fostering a generation of skilled, motivated, and socially responsible individuals.

What We Do

MAIF funds projects that impact the lives of children who are underprivileged, marginalized, underserved, economically disadvantaged, neglected, abused, distressed or simply in need.

What We Don’t Do

MAIF does not fund event sponsorship, organization overhead, political organizations or individuals – checks are written to either vendors or service providers rather than individuals.

At the end of the day, it’s not about what you have or even what you’ve accomplished. It’s about who you’ve lifted up, who you’ve made better. It’s about what you’ve given back.

FAQ:

Are you a playground builder?

No. Our playground projects play a great role in our foundation’s mission to make an impact in communities nationwide. While we love and support all the benefits play brings for children of any age, our ultimate goal is to not ‘just build a playground’, but use the playgrounds to open doors to the community. This helps us learn about other community needs and builds a strong bond between local partners to grow the impact through continuing projects.

Do you give out grants?

No. Make an Impact Foundation does not offer traditional grants. Instead, we focus on collaborative fundraising efforts that bring together community support and shared resources. We design and implement customized marketing and fundraising strategies for each initiative, which may include networking, events, social media outreach, and corporate sponsorships.

How much of my donation goes to the cause?

We are very grateful that we are able to give 85 – 90 cents of every dollar donated, to a project. Our long-term goal is to achieve 90 cents per dollar for all projects.
