Make an Impact Foundation Programs

Pillars of Support

Kids Play

MAIF KidsPlay is dedicated to fostering the physical, emotional, and social well-being of children through a variety of initiatives of play. Our program includes the development of national playgrounds with collaboration media and community partners, developing lanes for sports and outdoor play as well as providing scholarships for camps. By promoting active play and community engagement, we aim to create a supportive environment where children can thrive and grow.

Kids Learn

MAIF KidsLearn is dedicated to inspiring and empowering the next generation through innovative programs. Our initiatives, including the Drones2Jets and STEM/STEAM programs, provide students with hands-on learning opportunities that ignite curiosity and foster a passion for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. By equipping students with the skills and knowledge they need, we aim to prepare them for a future of limitless possibilities.

Kids Work

The MAIF Kids Work (MKW) pillar aims to empower students with the skills, experiences, and confidence needed to thrive in their careers and contribute positively to their communities through paid summer internships, comprehensive support services, and impactful community engagement. Our commitment is to create a sustainable, inclusive, and transformative program that bridges the gap between education and employment, fostering a generation of skilled, motivated, and socially responsible individuals.

Partner Programs

Drones to Jets

Presented by Make An Impact Foundation, Drones2Jets is an aviation STEM program for children in need and have a passion for flying.

School’s Out Scholarship

The Make an Impact Foundation provides the opportunity for local students who finish 5th grade and head to middle school to attend the Camp Harrison summer camp. While at camp, they are given a chance to explore nature and gain exposure to different people, environments and activities. Through this scholarship, we offer students the time and space to figure out who they are and who they want to be!

The Merry Magic Project

The project provides families in need with the tools to create special memories during the holiday season through donations from the community. The Merry Magic Project provides an experience event where the families and volunteers join to kick off the holiday season with all donated holiday decor, pajamas, books, sugar cookie baking kits, gingerbread houses, toys, wrapping paper, items for kids to gift their families, photos and time with Santa.

FAQ:

Are you a playground builder?

No. Our playground projects play a great role in our foundation’s mission to make an impact in communities nationwide. While we love and support all the benefits play brings for children of any age, our ultimate goal is to not ‘just build a playground’, but use the playgrounds to open doors to the community. This helps us learn about other community needs and builds a strong bond between local partners to grow the impact through continuing projects.

What is a Project Ambassador?

Our project ambassador is our ‘go-getter’, donating his/her time to work closely with the MAIF team and driving the project forward. The project ambassador’s passion is to provide resources like their personal network to make sure we raise great awareness for the project, helping us plan and execute our fundraising strategy.

What is a Donor Champion?

Our donor champion is an individual, group, organization or business who provides a significant monetary contribution to a project. This could potentially be the first money in or lead sponsor.

Do you give out grants?

No. At the Make An Impact Foundation we are all about TEAMwork and co-fundraising. We collaborate with project partners and donor champions to reach fundraising goals. We use a marketing strategy specifically designed for the project including, but not limited to, networking, events, social media outreach, corporate sponsorships, etc.

How much of my donation goes to the cause?

We are very grateful that we are able to give 85 – 90 cents of every dollar donated, to a project. Our long-term goal is to achieve 90 cents per dollar for all projects.
